Hawaii’s medical marijuana program is adding two new dispensaries, even though the coronavirus pandemic has slowed the amount of tourists visiting the islands and, thus, participating in the state’s MMJ reciprocity program.
The state health department approved:
Hawaiian Ethos on Hawaii Island.
Noa Botanical on Oahu.
The two additional dispensaries are Hawaii’s 14th and 15th.
Hawaiian Ethos opened on Saturday as the second dispensary on the Big Island.
Noa Botanical’s opening brings the total number of medical marijuana stores on Oahu to six.
As of Aug. 31, 29,475 medical cannabis patients had registered in Hawaii’s MMJ program.
